Pössl Summit Shine 540: Compact bus camper full of surprises
The Pössl Summit Shine 540 is the latest addition to the delivery program of this German camper builder. Bus campers with compact exterior dimensions are hot, also in Germany. Pössl makes the most of this popularity with a short Summit bus camper that comes with a few pleasant surprises.
Fiat or Citroen
As is usual with all Pössl models, you can order the new Summit Shine 540 on both a Citroën Jumper and a Fiat Ducato basis. The latter is slightly more expensive. The layout of the newcomer is not everyday. Pössl has hidden a few striking things in it. For example, the space between the kitchen and the seating area is larger than in any other bus camper. The cause of this is the lack of a dinnette bench behind the table. The Summit Shine 540 has one separate seat fitted as standard at that location, making three seats with belts available in that configuration.
Three-seater sofa
If you ever need that fourth seat with a belt, you can add a second seat in no time. If you prefer to have a two-seater permanently available, you can tick it on the options list. You can also hang an extra chair next to such a sofa. This creates a real three-seater sofa. Of course, this is at the expense of the passage to the kitchen, which is then somewhat on the tight side. For a large family or group of friends, that extra seat can of course be a solution.
Easy Move Table
The table is also slightly different from the usual. Nice and flexible with the melodious name Easy-Move Table. Because when you are not using the table, you can fold it in half for a hanging spot on the wall. That also makes a difference in the available living space. And another nice thing: the shelf above the two cabin seats can be folded up for more headroom. You can also get out completely. When folded down, you have a spacious storage space, depending on how it suits you.
Atmospheric light
The lighting concept in the Summet Shine 540 also enhances the atmosphere. LED light strips are concealed in the doors of the upper cabinets throughout the interior, from front to back. This smallest Summit also has a Schwenkbad. That is German for a rotating wall that reveals the toilet or shower in the bathroom. The double bed is placed transversely at the back. The bed size of 196 by 1,20/1,41 meters offers coziness for two. There is room under the bed for the water tank, the cupboard for the gas bottle and the wardrobe. If you choose the Citroën Jumper, you have 120 hp under the hood. Those who opt for the slightly more expensive Fiat Ducato can also opt for an automatic gearbox. The latest driver assistance systems of the new Ducato are also at your disposal.
