EcoFlow Portable Power Stations: Ultimate off-grid comfort

EcoFlow Portable Power Stations: Ultimate off-grid comfort

A power station is increasingly part of the holiday luggage. No wonder, because with a mobile power outlet, staying in remote places is so much more pleasant. EcoFlow makes this possible with an advanced series of Portable Power Stations that are suitable for lightweight tent camping, to power supply in a camper that wants to be off-grid.

Unlike a power bank, which you can use to charge your phone in times of need, an EcoFlow Power Station has all the connections such as 230V sockets, 12V output and USB ports. You can therefore see a power station as an alternative to a petrol or diesel generator. But apart from large industrial applications, such a fossil device does not fit in this era, and certainly not on a campsite.

The EcoFlow Power Stations  are super-fast rechargeable via the wall socket, a car charger or solar panels. The larger models can even be recharged with an EV or fast charger along the road. The smaller EcoFlow Power Stations are especially portable at 3,7kg and therefore easy to take with you to have access to a power socket anywhere and anytime.

Power

The capacity of a power station is indicated by a number of watt hours or Wh. The higher the value, the longer the battery will supply power. EcoFlow Power Stations have a capacity between 245Wh and 4096Wh. The smaller ones are suitable for charging or using lighting, tablets or smartphones, for example. With 4096Wh you have enough power to use heavy devices such as a hob or tools for a longer period of time. The capacity of some models can be expanded with an extra battery. Ecoflow Power Stations are also protected against short circuits, overvoltage, overheating and overloading. The housing can withstand a knock and with an IP54 certificate they are splash-proof.

Power

One device uses more power than another. For example, a kettle uses much more than an LED lamp. The power consumption or capacity is indicated in watts. The higher the number of watts, the more power is used. The basic model EcoFlow Power Station, the RIVER 3,  has enough power to connect devices up to 300 watts continuously. For devices that briefly require more to start up, a peak power of 600 watts is available. And if you look at the larger models such as the DELTA Pro 3, this goes up to 4000 and 8000 watts. It is advisable to list how much your devices consume and how long they are on. With the result of this calculation you make the right choice.

EcoFlow

In 2017, EcoFlow started producing Portable Power Stations and has grown to become the world's number 1 in market share, quality and price. The company is part of DJI, a brand name that rings a bell with every drone pilot or gimbal filmmaker. DJI is the only manufacturer in the world that matters in this field and that actually also applies to EcoFlow. The basis of this success lies in the rapid and continuous product development with which EcoFlow Power Stations are leading in technology, build quality, design and ease of use, without a price tag that flies out of control.

The product range is extensive and complete. From a Power Station for on the road to an advanced modular home battery. The range is complete with accessories such as a series of solar panels. Foldable for travellers, flexible for an uneven surface or fixed panels for a better yield. Both the accessories and Power Stations are plug-and-play, no technical knowledge is required to connect or use it. The operation is intuitive and can be done on the device itself, or with an extensive app to be able to operate it remotely via wifi or Bluetooth.

The RIVER series

The EcoFlow RIVER  is a series of four models that can deliver 300 to 600 watts continuously. With a new housing and technology, the RIVER 3 models are quieter and more powerful than ever. The 245Wh lithium-iron-phosphate battery and a continuous output of 300 watts makes the RIVER 3 suitable for charging your smartphone, tablet, camera or similar equipment.

Charging is super fast, you can connect up to 110W of solar panels to it, which means that after 3 hours of sun the RIVER 3 is back to 100%. Charging at a wall socket takes just one hour. The RIVER 3 Plus has a larger battery and a dual solar input. This means that it charges even faster on solar panels. The RIVER 3 Plus can also be expanded with an extra battery. This is easily clicked on and provides up to 858Wh of energy storage.

The basic RIVER 3 for €249 can do a lot. You can charge a smartphone about 19 times, a 4Wh laptop 50 times, a 9W LED lamp stays on for 25 hours and a 13Wh refrigerator for about 18 hours. The RIVER 3 Plus for €299 goes a step further and when you click an extra battery on you can easily quadruple the capacity.

The DELTA series

The EcoFlow DELTA 3 series consists of four different models. The DELTA 3 has a battery capacity of 1024Wh and a weight of 12,5kg. This makes it still very portable. The operation is extremely quiet. With less than 30dB at a load of 600W, it is perfectly suitable for use in a camper or tent, without being annoyed by a disturbing noise. The DELTA 3 has a price of € 899.-

The DELTA 3 Plus has the same battery capacity and weight, but offers additional charging options. With a dual solar input of 2 x 500W  charge the battery even faster. This makes the DELTA 3 Plus a good choice for more intensive use.

The DELTA 3 1500 is intended for the bigger work with a battery capacity of 1536Wh. This model is ideal for long-term use and devices that consume more energy. The price of this version is € 1299.-

The top model is the DELTA Pro 3. An advanced solution with an impressive 4096Wh as standard. This can be expanded to no less than 12kWh. The DELTA Pro 3 is therefore suitable for both daily use and long off-grid trips. No more worries about power shortages, even with multiple energy-intensive devices connected. Charging is super fast with a solar power of 2.600W, which means you are back to 100% in no time. The Pro 3 is fully charged within an hour at a power outlet. The weight is considerable at 51kg, but with the built-in wheels and a smart handle you can take the Pro 3 with you like a trolley. The price of this powerhouse is € 3299.-

In the Netherlands, EcoFlow is part of Prepshop.nl. In addition to a website where you can order the power stations online, there is the physical Prepshop in the heart of Utrecht. A cozy store where you can heed the message of NATO boss Rutte to get emergency supplies in the house. And of course that includes a solid power supply in case it fails. All Ecoflow models are displayed here and can be provided with clear advice.
