It's like backpacking with a luxury apartment in your backpack. With an AWAY campervan, you don't have to plan anything, just hop in and go. AWAY Vans is owned by Beert and Jeroen, two men who were looking for a campervan but couldn't choose between adventure, style, and convenience. So they built a campervan that combines all of that. A campervan that gives you the same backpacking feeling. Everything you need, without the hassle.
Jeroen: "During our search for a campervan, we were shocked: expensive, impractical, and often a mess. Instead of endlessly modifying a DIY van, we chose a different approach. With 40 years of experience in product development and two TU Delft degrees under our belts, we started developing a new type of van. Now we build campervans for everyone who wants an adventure without sacrificing comfort."

Besides Beert and Jeroen, the team behind the campervans consists of brand designer Melanie, architect Michael, and 3D designer Jochem. These five people transformed the idea into the AWAY brand and a concrete product. The foundation is the workshop at Tractieweg 42 in Utrecht, a location steeped in the history of the Werkspoor Quarter.
The Cockpit: your lookout post
AWAY's vision is for a campervan to consist of three zones. The cockpit is where the enjoyment begins the moment you step inside. Four seats, a clear view, and everything within easy reach. Traveling becomes a pleasure. Every bend brings a new view, every stop a new story. With your hands on the wheel, your road trip has begun before you even arrive.
The lounge: relax!
After a day full of winding roads and new impressions, you sink into your lounge, feet up, stories on the table. The kitchen is waiting next to you: something simple, something warm, do whatever you feel like. No searching, no fiddling. Inside, it's cozy, outside, the next view beckons. Whether you're having an early breakfast before your departure or pouring a drink in the evening: this is the space for peace and quiet.
You can sleep well in the cocoon
You leave late, the kids are tired, and so are you. No tent to pitch, no bed to convert, no bags to lug. In the cocoon, you step straight into your own bed. A familiar, enclosed sleeping area in the back of the camper. Your duvets are already there. Quiet and comfortable under canvas, just like home. A place where you can always land immediately. And that feels surprisingly luxurious.

Why use a new van as a base when a recent used one is just as perfect? For AWAY, reusing isn't a compromise; it's a conscious choice for both the environment and your wallet. AWAY buys a used van for you, with a full service history and an independent ANWB inspection. Any issues are resolved by a dedicated partner. This base is then converted by AWAY into your campervan.
GET AWAY
A lot of campervan for your money. The GET AWAY is the entry-level model and offers the best price-performance ratio. They don't skimp on luxury finishes, no different compared to the high-end DRIFT AWAY, the other AWAY Vans model. An ideal companion for spontaneous weekend getaways or longer journeys. The base is a Renault Master with a long wheelbase and suitable for four people without getting in each other's way. The specs are impressive: The Renault Master is a Euro 4 with a maximum of 6 km on the odometer, a 120.000-liter engine for 2.3 hp or more. The campervan inspection (RDW) is included, as is an induction cooktop with accompanying battery pack, refrigerator, and a complete electrical system powered by a 125W solar panel. A portable toilet is even included. This basic version, which is truly complete and comes with uncompromising finishes, has a competitive price tag. For €400, the GET AWAY van, including the van, will be ready for your next vacation. Want more? More is possible, too. You can further customize your van with options like a bike rack or Maxxfan.
DRIFT AWAY
The campervan with the most comfort. The DRIFT is designed for enjoying that little bit of extra luxury. It features an extra-large 2000Wu battery pack that allows you to stay off-grid for three days. A diesel parking heater and air conditioning complete the climate control. The standard all-terrain tires let you explore new places, and with a bike rack, you can explore them further. An outdoor shower, ladder, and rearview camera complete the extra luxury.
The exterior of the DRIFT AWAY is completely painted in a warm gray-beige base color. The center stripe is accented in olive gray. The interior layout and materials are the same as those of the GET AWAY. Furthermore, the DRIFT has all the features of the GET AWAY. Another similarity is the DRIFT's attractive price. At €63.900, fully equipped and including the bus.
AWAY campervans aren't your average converted campervans. Thanks to aerospace engineering like airplane rails and rivets, everything is rock-solid and feels like a factory job. The clever modular design makes customization easy: if you're traveling as a couple, you can leave the top bunk at home.
