Adria Astella 704: country house on wheels
A caravan or a mobile home? Opinions differ on Adria's top model, but the philosophy behind the Adria Astella 704 is as simple as it is brilliant: a mobile recreational home, anno 2021.
'As if no caravans exist'. That was the assignment given to the design team of young designers when conceiving a mobile recreational home. The caravan and camper builder from Slovenia was clearly looking for a new concept for a new target group that thinks in solutions instead of problems.

Because why should you own an imposing towing vehicle if you can have the Adria Astella 704 placed by the dealer at your desired location? And why would you only enjoy that beautiful view for three weeks if you can do so all year round? Flying with RyanAir is after all a matter of tens of euros, allowing the whole family to take turns enjoying holidays with their own families. Not a bad idea.
Astella Exterior
The Adria Astella is available in three versions, of which the 704 is the smallest, with a body length of 7.60 meters. The caravan is equipped with wind deflectors at the front that reduce air resistance – the caravan has even been extensively tested in the wind tunnel for this. The Astella also stands out due to the French doors in the living lounge, and you can also opt for them in the sleeping area. The tandem axle has double wheels to support the weight – a maximum of three tons. The roof and floor are provided with a polyester layer for protection against hail and splashing gravel and rainwater, respectively.

Layout
The double doors in the living area lead you directly to the corner kitchen at the front. An integrated hob with three gas burners and a sink are proudly displayed in the Corian worktop. The panoramic window above the kitchen allows plenty of daylight. There are spacious drawers for cookware, and in the L-shaped section, a gas oven and a large refrigerator with a freezer compartment are placed.
In the middle, we see a spacious living lounge with overhead cabinets that extend into the kitchen, featuring indirect lighting along the ceiling. A light strip with adjustable design spotlights is mounted across the center of the ceiling. Opposite the lounge sofa, we see a wall unit with a dresser and a spot for the TV.

Towards the bedroom, there is a separate toilet and bathroom with a separate shower on either side. In the sleeping area, the queen bed is placed transversely – so you can get into bed from both sides. Next to both headboards, we find wardrobes and integrated nightstands. The back of the Astella also has a panoramic skylight for extra daylight. At the foot end, you can choose between a window or a second set of French doors.

Installations
The Astella is equipped with Alde liquid heating – especially during winter conditions, this provides comfortable warmth. The Astella has a Bluetooth music system with built-in speakers and LED lighting all around. In addition to a gas oven and microwave, the Astella also has a 'city water connection' so that the caravan can be directly connected to the campsite's water supply.
Conclusion
With the Astella flagship, Adria introduces a new concept: you can tow it yourself with a hefty SUV or have it transported by the dealer. The Astella is fully equipped and, thanks to the materials and installations used, suitable for a long and comfortable stay in the locations of your choice – all year round.
