Van camper: the motorhome for daily use
Campers come in four types: van campers, alcove, semi-integrated, or integrated. Among these, a van camper is recognizable as the commercial vehicle it is based on. For some models, the dimensions and driving behavior allow the camper van to be used for daily purposes. This makes a van camper multi-purpose, which can offer an economic advantage. There are many different van campers for sale, ranging from cheap camper models to very small campers.
With a van camper, the exterior is still the delivery van as it was originally designed. By insulating and finishing the walls, installing windows and roof hatches, and placing an interior, a fully-fledged living area is created that has nothing to do with the cargo space of a courier. Compared to other campers, the space is somewhat smaller. There are fewer centimeters available in width than in a semi-integrated or integrated camper. But since camper builders are masters at devising clever solutions to save space or utilize it better, a van camper does not have to be inferior in comfort to its wider counterparts.
The nice thing about a van camper is that it can open at the rear in addition to a large sliding door that also serves as an entrance door. This allows you to experience more of your camping spot. Standard is a transverse bed in the back with storage space underneath. Depending on the size of the camper van, a shower/toilet combination is possible. In smaller models, this usually does not fit. Iconic in that segment is, of course, the Volkswagen Transporter. But other brands such as Knaus campers, Weinsberg campers, Rapido campers, Bürstner campers, Hymer campers, or Adria campers also offer comfortable van camper models based on Fiat, Pössl van camper, Karmann, Peugeot, Citroen, Mercedes campers, Ford, or Renault. On CampersCaravans.nl, many diverse models of van campers are for sale and many van campers are for rent.
