Integrated Motorhomes: Enjoy the most beautiful view
Motorhomes come in four types. Integrated motorhomes, van conversions, semi-integrated motorhomes or alcove motorhomes. With an integrated motorhome, you no longer see anything of the base vehicle on the outside. The construction of the living area and the cabin for the driver form one whole. This has a few advantages, of which space gain is the most striking.
Integrated or semi-integrated
You experience an interior very differently with just a few extra centimeters of width. When you omit the cabin of the base vehicle and let the superstructure extend forward with its full width, you gain those extra centimeters. An integrated motorhome therefore feels much more spacious inside. Modern motorhomes almost always have swivel cabin seats. During the journey, they face forward for the driver and co-driver. As soon as they arrive at their destination, they swivel to become part of the seating area or dinette. The standard cabin as found in a van conversion or semi-integrated motorhome is perfectly suitable for this, but compared to the full width of an integrated motorhome, you have significantly more space here. At this point, an integrated motorhome offers the most comfort at the campsite or motorhome pitch.
During the journey, you experience the space gain facing forward. With more freedom of movement, you sit much more relaxed, and through the much larger windshield, you see more of the surroundings you are driving through. Almost all brands such as Burstner, Knaus, Hobby, Adria or Chausson offer van conversions, semi-integrated motorhomes and integrated motorhomes, with integrated motorhomes usually representing the top of the range.
