Tips for a day out in your own country with a camper

Do you want to go out for a day with your camper? Then you've come to the right place! We're sharing some great outings that are suitable for the whole family. While we often think of a camper as being for a holiday, this is not at all necessary. How nice would it be, for example, to go to a nature park nearby and spend the whole day there. The advantage of a day out with a camper is that you have everything at hand and are therefore not dependent on, for example, a toilet. Because we can well imagine that you might not immediately think of something when it comes to fun outings with the whole family, we have some tips for you. The nice thing about our tips is that we have taken everyone into account, so whether you prefer to enjoy nature or just want to stroll through the streets of a cozy city, it's all possible!

Day trip to the campsite

If you regularly go camping with the whole family, it's also nice to go for a day, for example in the spring. Especially the children will then know exactly what there is to do, which gives you as parents the opportunity to relax. Because it is of course nice to do something together, we also have some tips for a day out with your family to, for example, the zoo, the amusement park or another fun activity where everyone can enjoy themselves. If you are staying at a campsite that is a bit of a drive, you can also choose to stay overnight. Especially on the weekend, that's a good idea. That way you don't have to worry about the time and you can drive home peacefully the next day.

National Parks

The Netherlands is known for its beautiful nature and national parks. Put on your hiking boots and go with the whole family to the Hoge Veluwe, the Biesbosch or one of the many other parks we have in the Netherlands. It is useful to check which one is closest, so you don't have to drive to the other side of the country for a day. How nice would it be to first take a long walk through nature with everyone and then enjoy a meal together in the camper. Especially in a more luxurious camper, you naturally have your own kitchen and can therefore cook perfectly.

Involve the children in your decision

We have talked about fun outings, but it is useful to also consult with the kids. Suppose they are not looking forward to a long walk, this can cause an unpleasant situation, even before you have to leave. Ask them, for example, what they really enjoy doing, but also what they definitely don't feel like doing. This way you can decide together what the fun outing will ultimately be.
