Winter camping is more popular
Quite a few people completed this poll: 9.638 to be precise. They not only travel in the early and late season, winter is also becoming increasingly popular. Stan Stolwerk, director of the NKC, says: “It may sound unattractive, camping during winter sports, but it no longer has to be that way. Campers can withstand the cold well and if this is not the case, all kinds of adjustments are possible to make the camping equipment winter-proof. Camper pitches and campsites on the slopes are also often equipped with all kinds of facilities, such as a drying room for skis, wellness and a living room where you can sit in the evening.”
Most chosen winter sports countries
Austria is the most popular country for winter sports with a camper. Germany is also the favorite, followed by France. Popular activities of campers during winter sports are naturally skiing and snowboarding, but hiking is also a popular activity.
