Unique camping: a camping raft in Waterland

Camping on a camping raft, it may sound a bit crazy, but it is possible! Just like in the past when they had to build a raft during a shipwreck, only now for a positive reason: to celebrate a holiday. Camping on the water with a luxurious tent: what for you?

Rafting in Sweden

Rafting may not yet be such a phenomenon in the Netherlands, but in Sweden it is a real tradition. So-called raft sailing has been practiced there for years. According to tradition, you must first build your raft yourself. Once you have rolled about 20 thick logs into the river, tie them together with a rope. On top of that you attach more trunks of different sizes and then the tour can begin.

Rafting in the Netherlands

Unlike Sweden, in the Netherlands you do not have to build your raft yourself first. Fortunately, this is already neatly ready for you. The camping raft is fully equipped with tent, camping mattresses and a toilet bucket. The raft also has a motor, so you can sail around using the route maps. Along the way you will be guided past beautiful nature reserves and you will also pass mooring places for a snack and a drink. If you want to stay in the camping atmosphere and cook yourself, that is also possible! The raft is equipped with a 2 burner gas stove, gas tank and a jerry can with 20 liters of water.

What you do need to bring with you are your sleeping gear, such as sleeping bags and pillows. The necessary hygiene items, crockery and of course games!

During the day you can follow a sailing route through the Waterland and in the evening you can retreat to the tent. After a whole day of sailing, enjoy the starry sky in nature in the evening. We are sold!
