Unique camping: a camping raft in Waterland

Camping on a camping raft, it might sound a bit strange, but it's possible! Just like in the old days when they had to build a raft during a shipwreck, only now for a positive reason: going on holiday. Camping on the water in a luxurious tent: what do you think?

Rafting in Sweden

In the Netherlands, rafting may not yet be such a phenomenon, but in Sweden, it is a real tradition. For years, they have been doing what is called rafting there. According to tradition, you first have to build your own raft. Once you have rolled about 20 thick logs into the river, you tie them together with a rope. On top of that, you attach more logs of different sizes and then the journey can begin.

Rafting in the Netherlands

Unlike in Sweden, you don't have to build your own raft in the Netherlands. Fortunately, it is already neatly prepared for you. The camping raft is fully equipped with a tent, camping mattresses, and a toilet bucket. The raft also has an engine, so you can cruise around using the route maps. Along the way, you will be guided past beautiful nature reserves and you will also pass mooring places for a snack and a drink. If you want to stay in the camping mood and cook yourself, that is also possible! The raft is equipped with a 2-burner gas stove, gas tank, and a jerry can with 20 liters of water.

What you do need to bring yourself are your sleeping gear, such as sleeping bags and pillows. The necessary hygiene articles, crockery, and of course games!

During the day you can follow a sailing route through Waterland and in the evening you can relax in the tent. After a whole day of sailing, you can then enjoy the starry sky in nature in the evening. We are sold!
