Spring fever: camping in spring

It's wonderful every year when spring breaks! Pleasant temperatures and nature awakening. How nice to get the camper or caravan out of winter storage again, for a weekend or even a week away. Camping in spring: celebrate spring!

Enjoy the tranquility

Because most people go out with their camper or caravan mainly in the summer, camping in spring has the advantage that you can still enjoy the peace and quiet at the campsite. Nature, which can normally be deterred by the summer crowds, now emerges without fear. Perhaps you and your children will discover newborn bunnies or deer? And how wonderful that everything is turning green again! You can now enjoy all of that in peace.

Stay warm

Of course, temperatures are not always summery in spring yet. Especially evenings and nights can be cold. So it's important to stay warm. Most campers and caravans fortunately have excellent heating options. Some extra aids are also welcome, such as an electric blanket, thick socks or a hot water bottle.

An advantage of the somewhat lower temperature is also that it is more pleasant to be active during the day. So discover the surroundings of your camping spot, walk in nature and enjoy all the beauty that emerges in spring even more. And, another advantage, you won't be bothered by mosquitoes and wasps.

Which campsite?

Yes, camping in spring is just an excellent idea! Now to find a campsite where that's possible. Most campsites open in April anyway, but there are also some that are open all year round. So, if you already have spring fever in February or March, it's a good idea to check if your chosen campsite is already open.

Especially now, it's very pleasant to have a camping pitch with private sanitary facilities. This way, you have your own toilet and shower that is exclusively available to you.
