Spring fever: camping in spring

How wonderful it is every year when spring breaks! Pleasant temperatures and awakening nature. How nice to get the camper or caravan out of winter storage again, for a weekend or even a week away. Camping in spring: celebrate spring!

Enjoy the peace and quiet

Because most people go out with their camper or caravan mainly in the summer, camping in spring has the advantage that you can still enjoy the peace and quiet at the campsite. Nature, which can normally be deterred by the summer crowds, now emerges without fear. Will you and your children perhaps discover newborn bunnies or deer? And how wonderful that everything is turning green again! You can now enjoy all of this in peace.

Stay warm

Of course, the temperatures are not always summery in spring. Especially the evenings and nights can be cold. So it's important to stay warm. Fortunately, most campers and caravans have excellent heating options. Some extra aids are also welcome, such as an electric blanket, thick socks or a warm hot water bottle.

An advantage of the somewhat lower temperature is also that it is more pleasant to be active during the day. So explore the surroundings of your camping spot, walk in nature and enjoy all the beauty that emerges in spring even more. And, another advantage, you won't be bothered by mosquitoes and wasps.

Which campsite?

Yes, camping in spring is simply an excellent idea! Now to find a campsite where that is possible. Most campsites open in April anyway, but there are also some that are open all year round. So if you already have spring fever in February or March, it's a good idea to check if the campsite of your choice is already open.
