Spring fever: camping in the spring

How wonderful it is every year when spring breaks through! Pleasant temperatures and a budding nature. How nice to get the camper or caravan out of winter storage again, for a weekend or even a week away. Camping in spring: celebrate spring!

Enjoy the peace and quiet

Because most people mainly go out in the summer with their camper or caravan, camping in the spring has the advantage that you can still enjoy the peace and quiet of the campsite. Nature, which can normally be deterred by the summer crowds, now emerges without fear. Will you and your children discover newborn bunnies or deer? And how wonderful that everything is turning green again! You can now enjoy it in peace.

Stay warm

Of course, temperatures are not always summery in spring. The evenings and nights can be especially cold. It is therefore important that you stay warm. Fortunately, most campers and caravans have excellent heating options. Some extra aids are of course also welcome, such as an electric blanket, thick socks or a hot water bottle.

An advantage of the slightly lower temperature is that it is more pleasant to be active during the day. So discover the area around your camping spot, walk in nature and enjoy all the beauty that emerges in spring. And, another advantage, you don't have to worry about mosquitoes and wasps.

Which campsite?

Yes, camping in the spring is simply an excellent idea! Now just have to find a campsite where that is possible. Most campsites open in April anyway, but there are also some that are open all year round. If you already have spring fever in February or March, it is a good idea to check whether the campsite of your choice is already open.

Especially now it is very nice to have a camping spot with its own sanitary facilities. This way you have your own toilet and shower that is exclusively available to you.
