NCC Camping de Rolle in Hardenberg: Visit the Introductory Weekend

The Dutch Caravan Club is an association of approximately 1600 enthusiastic and active caravan owners. The association focuses on encouraging tourist use of caravans and campers, at home and abroad. And she has been doing that for about 65 years. NCC members can use about 12 of their own club grounds. Beautifully situated in the woods, with waterways on the doorstep or by the sea.

To experience the benefits of membership, the club is organizing an introductory weekend for non-members on September 22 and 23. An excellent opportunity to experience the fun and pleasant things about the NCC camping de Rolle in Hardenberg. And that's quite something, especially for those seeking peace and quiet, cycling enthusiasts or walkers.

Idyll on the Vecht

Camping de Rolle is located on the Vecht, the Overijsselse that is. A lovely river that meanders through a beautiful scenic landscape. In the vicinity of the campsite you can find rental companies of canoes and electrically powered sloops to experience this up close. The Overijsselse Vecht is a rainwater river that originates in Germany. The length is 167 kilometers, of which 60 km is in the Netherlands. Its origins are in the Münsterland and it flows into the Zwarte Water near Zwolle. From the campsite there are a few places where you can relax on the banks of the watercourse flowing by.

Forest as far as the eye can see

For a long walk or a brisk bike ride you are in the middle of paradise. The campsite borders directly on an extensive forest area, interspersed with some fields and farms. Wonderful to walk through or plan a trip by bike. A nice destination is the Oldemeijer swimming water. A large beach on a refreshing forest lake.

City antics

If you are looking for a nice and tasty restaurant or want to do some shopping, Ommen and Hardenberg are closest. You can get there in half an hour by bike. Both towns are located on the Vecht with all the terrace options it offers. It is nice to live there, but due to its picturesque location in the Vechtdal, you will get your money's worth as a holidaymaker, and the facilities are tailored to that.

The introductory weekend

The NCC is an association that you better join. For a small amount per year you are welcome at this campsite and the other 11 that the club owns and manages. The overnight rate is also extremely reasonable, which means that you can earn back your membership with just a few days a year. But if all that is not convincing enough, visit the introductory weekend. You don't have to leave it to the costs, the overnight costs are halved and amount to € 8.- excl. Electricity and tourist tax. Of course, a number of fun activities are organised. You are welcome from Friday. On Saturday around noon there will be a presentation by the NCC, followed by a tour through the woods, a wine tasting and, as soon as 5 is on the clock, Happy Hour. There are no obligations, you can also just do nothing at all.

On Sunday there is a round of ball shooting.
