Campspace: sustainable camping close to home

Since the corona crisis started, many holiday plans have been canceled. Companies and private individuals are trying to make the best of this. With all kinds of creative concepts, people who can no longer go on holiday can still enjoy it to the fullest. For example, you can still camp in someone's garden.

Now that everyone is looking for a place where they can camp safely, offers campspace the perfect solution. This is a platform where people open their garden to a limited extent for camping. Co-founder Hugo says: “There are many more beautiful parts of the Netherlands than people think. Our country has hundreds of kilometers of coastline. It is really not necessary to go to Noordwijk or Zandvoort together.”

Campspace can be seen as the green equivalent of Airbnb. Someone rents out a piece of their own land where you can pitch a tent or have a caravan that you can book. Camping at small campsites was already becoming more popular and this has only increased during the corona crisis. The company does emphasize that sharing land during these times is more important than making money. You can pitch a tent on a beautiful piece of land for just ten euros a night.

The concept has been used more and more in recent years. read here more about camping in the backyard. Would you like more inspiration about camping? Then take a closer look at us blog.
