In the Netherlands there is a special, international quality mark for sustainable companies: the Green Key quality mark. This includes all kinds of tourist companies, such as hotels, restaurants and even zoos.
Companies with the Green Key quality mark have sustainability high on their agenda and they apply it everywhere. Think of economical use of energy and water, environmentally friendly cleaning, recycling and well-considered choices regarding organic food and products with a quality mark.
Campsites with this quality mark offer a wonderful holiday spot, but without unnecessarily burdening the environment. The certificate that the campsite receives depends on the number of measures that a campsite has introduced. This can be a bronze, silver or gold certificate.
