Airstream introduces the Caravel

For the 2020 model year, the iconic American caravan manufacturer Airstream announces two new models, the Bambi and Caravel. The Bambi replaces the former Sport series, which was previously Airstream's entry-level model. The Caravel is available in the same sizes as the Bambi but is a lot more luxurious.

Airstream bambi

Both the Bambi and the Caravel are offered in a single-axle version. The length is indicated in American style in feet: 16, 19, 21 and 22 feet. This means that the total length is between 4,88 and 6,71 meters. The Bambi is now the new entry-level model, as far as you can speak of that in this exclusive price segment. Don't expect meager basic equipment, but a caravan that simply offers everything your heart desires. The more luxurious caravan goes a step further. This differs from the Bambi by, among other things, a panoramic window, stone chip protection and aluminum bumpers. Both models have a climate ceiling made of high-quality materials with multiple ventilation openings.

Caravel 22

The largest model, the Caravel 22, was on display at the recently held Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. This eye-catcher has a width of 2,50 m and therefore has room for, among other things, a central seating group and a bathroom in the rear. Whether the models will actually be sold in Europe will partly depend on the reactions of the public at the fair. After all, the target group for a caravan costing almost 100.000 euros is not too large.
