Derubis Caravans Series 7: welcome aboard
After 30 years of yacht building, the Bosnian shipyard Derubis felt like doing something different. That has become a Derubis Series 7 caravan in which you can see the roots of a boat builder. A flashy start to a formidable eye-catcher.
A striking feature of the tandem axle Derubis Series 7 is the monocoque structure. Made from a laminate of glass fiber reinforced polyester, just like in yacht building. Where the hull of a boat must be watertight to prevent bubbling, the same construction method for a caravan benefits from the same watertight advantage. In addition, unlike aluminum, polyester is not a good heat conductor. Insulation therefore works better without compromising the interior space. The monocoque construction makes any shape possible and the shipyard/caravan builder has gone to great lengths to achieve this. The Derubis Caravan stands out.
Luxury, Design and Comfort
The interior can also be called a ship. Solid and finished to a higher level than is the case with serial products. An L-shaped kitchen is placed in the middle. A large sofa overlooking a 50” TV can be converted into a bed of 1,6 x 2 meters. A fixed bed can be found at the front of the caravan. At 1,6 x 2,3 meters, it is ideal for tall people. A sliding door separates the living area from the living area.
Sanitary pleasure in the Derubis Series 7
The bathroom in series 7 bears that name with verve. Both the design and the spacious layout are striking. In the middle there is a sink with a mirror above it. There is a toilet on the right and a real rain shower has been installed on the left.
