Fendt Bianco Primo 465 SFH: with many smart features

Fendt has been at the top of the best-selling caravans list for a few years now and the quality is high. In Stuttgart, the brand presented a new model: the Fendt Bianco Primo, with many smart features and a layout that is popular in the Netherlands.

The Bianco series is no stranger to the Dutch market. It is often used as a trial balloon for promotional models and new layouts that - if successful - will also be implemented in other series. Various models have previously appeared on the market under the banner of the Bianco Activ. The Fendt Bianco Primo could also become a success.

Recognizable Fendt

On the outside we recognize the Fendt by the off-white hammertone plating, anthracite-colored stickers and alloy wheels in the same color. We are used to Fendt paying a lot of attention to details and that is what we see here, for example, with the recessed orange side marker lights that are concealed in the skirts. The service hatch is placed a little higher so that the opened flap cannot touch the ground - which saves a muddy edge.

Another clever detail: the water cap. You cannot lose it, because it is attached to the water filling opening with a rubber piece. The drawbar box has a parallelogram closure and therefore opens almost vertically, so you can easily place gas bottles and easily access your other belongings. The rear is also striking, with the integrated 'automotive' rear lights: you could also encounter them in a modern passenger car. The Primo also has self-adjusting AL-KO brakes, drawbar cover and a stabilizer coupling.

Sense of space

Inside we see a light wood color with the grain running horizontally - an optical trick that creates a feeling of space. The cabinet flaps are made in duotone: cream color areas with wood inlay and matt chrome knobs and handles. Immediately next to the entrance, on the left, is the transverse Dometic refrigerator, the door of which is hinged on both sides. This way you can also open the refrigerator from the awning and you don't have to go inside first to get the olives and the bottle of wine.

The seating group is equipped with upholstery in three colors and that gives the living lounge a playful effect.

Popular layout

The caravan has a popular layout with a dinette at the front and a so-called French bed at the back. The seating group is equipped with upholstery in three colors and that gives the living lounge a playful effect. The upper cabinets have open shelves at the bottom, so that you can immediately grab frequently used items - sunglasses, e-reader.

The compact kitchen has a sink and a hob with three gas burners. They both have a glass cover. There is sufficient work space on the counter top at the front. The kitchen has wide drawers and a narrow pharmacy cabinet with wire baskets. In addition, a large hanging cupboard with another deep cupboard underneath for holiday luggage.

Opposite the kitchen we see a piece of furniture in which the 133 liter Slim Tower refrigerator (with freezer compartment) is concealed, a rotating television bracket and a high narrow cupboard with many shelves.

Then we come to the longitudinally placed double bed - the so-called French bed, with plenty of storage space underneath that is also accessible from the outside via the service hatch. Clever Fendt detail: the foot of the bed does not extend all the way to the wall unit, so you can easily tuck in your duvet. Next to the bed is the toilet room, which can optionally also be expanded with a shower.

A washbasin has also been placed at the foot of the bed for the morning ritual. There is plenty of cupboard space for toiletries and you can store clothes in the ceiling cupboards above the bed.

Installations

We are used to Fendt that water pipes, air hoses from the ring heater and electrical wiring are neatly concealed and this is also the case in the Primo. Heating and hot water come from the Truma Combi 4E, where the 'E' means that it also works on 230 Volt - standard in the Primo and that deserves applause. The caravan has a built-in water tank, screen door, smoke detector and it is iNet-prepared so that you can (optionally) operate all installations from an app.

Conclusion Fendt Bianco Primo

With the Bianco Primo, Fendt has once again developed a quality caravan with a layout that is popular in the Netherlands. Clever details show that the designers themselves are also camping. We are happy with the Truma 4E: a combi boiler that will save you a lot of gas bottles if you camp outside the high season. This is an option with many other brands and as a consumer you just have to know that it exists at all.
