3 ways to take your bike with your camper

If you regularly go on holiday with a camper, then you know better than anyone how nice it is to be able to go wherever and whenever you want. To make it even easier for yourself, it is advisable to also take a bicycle with you, so that you don't have to drive your camper through the often narrow streets, but can simply cycle from your pitch to a village or city on your e-bike without having to worry about not being able to park your camper anywhere. However, we see that not everyone takes their (electric) bicycle with them. Often the reason is that they don't know how to do this best and are also a bit nervous about driving several hundred kilometers or even further, with one or more bicycles on the back of the camper. That is why we have 3 handy ways in which you can safely and easily take your electric bicycle with you.

Bicycle rack on the back of the camper

If we are talking about an easy and safe way to take your bike with you, then it is on the back of the car. Why not on the back of the camper? With this, you can safely transport one or more bicycles, depending on the type of carrier you choose. Mounting a bicycle rack is relatively simple and usually only requires some tools that you often have in your shed or basement. If you want to make it even easier for yourself, you can of course also have this done directly at the bicycle shop. Suppose you are going to buy two new electric bicycles at Amslod, then it is wise to immediately check if they also have a bicycle rack for you. The advantage of this is that you might even get a better price. How convenient is that?

Bicycle rack on the roof of the camper

In addition to the bicycle rack at the back of the camper, there is also the possibility to mount a bicycle rack on the roof. This is particularly useful if you do not have space at the rear of your camper or if you already have other cargo on the back. It goes without saying that mounting and using a roof rack requires a little more effort and is not always possible. For example, it is especially important to pay close attention to the maximum height, as a camper is already quite high by itself.

Taking bicycles inside the camper

You often don't think about it right away, but in your camper you naturally have more than enough space to safely take your bike with you. The chance that you will use all the space for your other belongings is quite small, we know from experience. The only thing you do have to take into account is that you secure everything properly, as a stand alone is of course not sufficient.
