Campers are trendy

Campers are no longer dusty or old-fashioned; they have become a vehicle that all generations enjoy using. From luxurious campers equipped with everything you need to feel truly at home, to converted vans for a self-sufficient holiday.

Especially among the younger generation, we are seeing more and more self-built models, equipped with solar panels, an outdoor kitchen, and all sorts of handy storage systems. As well as the so-called “stealth campers”, where from the outside it is not visible that a tiny house is hidden inside. Some even serve as a complete home and are not only used for holidays.

Campers as self-sufficient homes

Many people also use a camper to realize a dream, such as traveling around Europe (or even further). The fact that campers nowadays are fully equipped means that you don't need anything else for this (temporary) nomadic existence. It's a great way to live cheaper, while being able to take your home wherever you want.

Regardless of whether you want to buy a camper or tinker with one yourself (building a camper van, for example), this is something that professional companies are capitalizing on. Nowadays, there is truly everything available to customize a camper entirely to your own wishes. So not only are more campers themselves being sold, but the entire market around them is also growing.

Increase in camper-related events

Camper dealers and exhibitors at camping events, camper fairs and the like, make extensive use of visual aids to promote this lifestyle as attractively as possible. And these kinds of events are taking place more and more often.

For example, meetings are organized where owners of campers come together to share ideas, attend workshops and give demonstrations. The English “van-life” is, after all, a complete adventure, which involves much more than just traveling.

The last reason why more campers are bought is also because it is so easy to rent a camper. Many people and families who do this for the first time get a taste for it afterwards.
