AL-KO: update ATC anti-sway system

AL-KO: update ATC anti-sway system

Thanks to an update, AL-KO's ATC anti-sway system is now even faster and therefore safer. Thanks to the update, the system will also be suitable for retrofitting from early 2021. Moreover, it also takes up much less space due to the new, horizontal mounting.

In addition, ATC's updated anti-sway system is much lighter than its predecessor. Since the mounting connection remains unchanged, an existing ATC can be replaced with the new version. Only the position of the ATC changes. Previously vertical, now horizontal for further space saving.

To prevent the risk of swaying and rolling due to small evasive maneuvers, overtaking maneuvers and light crosswinds, the updated system is faster, more sensitive and more flexible to use.

Sensors

Using sensors, ATC's anti-sway system permanently monitors driving behavior and is the first to detect possible swaying risks. The lateral movements are detected directly on the axle of the trailer. As soon as the fluctuations exceed the critical limits, the trailer is braked automatically without delay.

By braking, the trailer or caravan is, as it were, pulled straight back onto the track. This braking occurs smoothly and evenly so that it does not lead to additional risks during overtaking maneuvers. The driver therefore notices virtually nothing of the correction.
