Fall fairs: new models 2021

Corona is not only turning the world upside down, but also has a major influence on the trade fair landscape in the camping industry. Dordrecht Open, the camping fair in Hardenberg and the national Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs have been cancelled. How – and where – can you browse among the new models for 2021?

The Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs attracted almost 50.000 visitors last year – a record. It was all the more painful for the Kampeer & Caravan Industry trade association (client of the fair) to have to cancel the 2020 edition of the camping event in the Netherlands. “We had to make that decision with pain in our hearts,” agrees KCI chairman Leo Diepemaat, who emphasizes that a major campaign will be launched this autumn to attract campers and interested parties to the dealer showrooms.

October Camping Month

“Camping has grown explosively in recent years,” continues KCI Chairman Diepemaat. “In addition, camping as a form of holiday has even received an extra boost due to the corona crisis, now that hotel and air holidays are under so much pressure. That is why we are moving the Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs to the dealers' showrooms this year," says Diepemaat, "with plenty of promotional models and a camping atmosphere - you can leave that to the dealers. And of course there will be a big comeback with the Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs in 2021.”
Trade fairs that will take place this autumn are the CaravanSalon 2020 in Düsseldorf (4 to 13 September) and Camper Caravan Wereld in Assen will take place almost immediately afterwards from 18 to 20 September. The camping industry's autumn campaign 'October Camping Month' will then start at more than 130 dealer companies in the Netherlands.

CaravanSalon

Major absences during the CaravanSalon are the brands of the Erwin Hymer Group, the Pilote group, but also Pössl, Concorde and Sprite caravans. Yet 300 exhibitors are present at the largest camping event in the world. The trade fair organization uses a hygiene concept that complies with all German regulations, thus guaranteeing the safety and health of visitors, exhibitors and employees as best as possible.

The corona measures, but also the 60th anniversary, are precisely the reason for the Knaus Tabbert Group - with the brands Knaus, Tabbert, Weinsberg and T@b - to make a big splash at the fair in Düsseldorf. Camper Caravan World

In the Netherlands, the Expo Assen will be transformed into a camping fair during the Camper Caravan World in September. The fair is an important event for the Northern Netherlands when it comes to campers, caravans and camping life. The place to be to view the new models of 2021.

During the Expo Assen there is also a lot of attention to corona measures, so that camping enthusiasts can enjoy new campers, caravans and related camping products without any restrictions.
