Campsites of the Year: ANWB announces winners

Campsites of the Year: ANWB announces winners

During the Holiday Fair, the ANWB announced the winners of the Campsites of the Year 2020 election. Six campsites won prizes: three in the Netherlands and three across the border.

During the summer holidays of 2019, 25.000 campers voted for their favorite campsite during the ANWB election. The election for the Campsites of the Year consists of three categories; the nicest family campsite, the campsite with the best rental accommodation and the most beautiful charming campsite.

Public election

All campsites have been assessed on nine aspects. Due to the weighting of the aspects, the campsite with the most votes does not automatically win, but rather the campsite that scores high on a specific component. For the best family campsite, the price-quality ratio, swimming facilities and sanitary facilities played an extra important role. For the best rental accommodation, this was the price-quality ratio, the facilities, hygiene and the location of the rental accommodation. And for the most beautiful charming campsite, the aspect of peace/nature, sanitary facilities, the atmosphere and price-quality ratio played an important role. This weighing took place on the basis of the opinions of the voters, who themselves indicated what they considered extra important.
