Chausson X550: cross between camper van and semi-integrated vehicle

The new Chausson X550 combines the advantages of a bus camper with those of a semi-integrated camper. This provides the convenience of traveling with a small camper, but with all the comfort that a larger camper offers.

From the outside, the Chausson X550 has the appearance of a bus camper. This is probably because the camper is built on the basis of a Fiat Ducato. The camper is only just over 5,9 meters long and 2,1 meters wide. A difference with bus campers: the headroom is 1,98 meters.

Interior

However, the Chausson is very spacious on the inside, much more spacious than you would expect. A skylight provides extra light. Four people can sit comfortably on the conveniently arranged lounge sofas. You can easily set up the camper for the night, with sleeping places for four people (two spacious double beds). You can cook in the fully equipped kitchen with a three-burner stove, oven, sink and a 139-liter refrigerator.

At the back of the Chausson X550 there is a bathroom with toilet and shower. The bathroom is also spacious, the entire width of the camper is used for this. With the handy door you can create a changing room. From the bathroom you can get clothes, towels or other items in the closet without having to leave the bathroom. You get hot water via a boiler.
