The Lume Traveler: artisanal, high-end caravan

Craft among caravans, the Lume Traveler. Enjoy the outdoors with the comfort of home, but in a very luxurious home. Conceived and designed by entrepreneurs Hein van de Laar and Edwin de Bron.

Van de Laar often thinks caravans are ugly, white mass-production vehicles and wondered if it couldn't be more stylish. He also wanted to enjoy the outdoors with the comforts of home. Sleep under the stars in a quality bed and cook outside on a full-fledged stove. He pondered this idea for a long time and developed the first prototype of the Lume Traveler together with Edwin de Bron.

Luxury house on wheels

The Lume Traveler is a combination of simplicity and modern technology. The Lume has an aluminum sandwich construction and has molded parts specially developed for this trailer. This makes the caravan well insulated and gives the Lume Traveler a stylish and characteristic appearance. The intention is to experience a deluxe hotel experience at the campsite or in nature. This unique camping equipment contains air conditioning, solar panels, a stainless steel worktop, refrigerator, heating, four gas burners, many windows, a luxurious bed and even a convertible roof. This should of course not be missed if you want to look at the starry sky from your bed.

Three versions

The Lume traveler is offered in three different versions. The No.1, the Basic and the Shell. The No.1 is the original as Hein van der Laar conceived it, the most beautiful thing a caravan can offer in luxury and comfort. The price of the No.1 is therefore € 46,500. The Basic speaks for itself, everything necessary is present without luxury that is not strictly necessary, but with the same appearance as the No.1. This will cost €39.950. The Shell is actually an empty caravan that you can decorate the way you want it. The empty Lume costs only € 27.250.

The designers, as they say, focus on a wealthy target group. They want to create a traditional product, something that not everyone has, and want to get rid of the idea that caravans should be as light and cheap as possible. The Lume Traveler is a real Dutch invention that is attracting a lot of interest from abroad.
