The Nissan Office Pod: office on wheels

Working from home is starting to become the new normal. Due to the corona crisis, we all started working from home more in 2020. This is expected to remain the norm for the time being. Nissan introduces the Office Pod as an ideal home workplace. But what exactly is the Nissan Office Pod?

We previously wrote on our blog about various car models that have been converted into campers. You can read all about this here a BMW M4 camper or about a converted Mercedes Benz Sprinter. Nissan's Office Pod is actually not very different. It is a modified NV350 camper, designed for home workers who want some variety from working in their own home.

Operate with smartphone

The Office Pod can be operated from your smartphone. At the touch of a button, a real office slides out at the back of the camper, equipped with an adjustable desk, a comfortable office chair and a transparent bottom. With these facilities you can work in the fresh air when the weather is nice.

Another function that can be activated from your smartphone is the 'relax mode'. You can unfold a parasol and a sun lounger. This will be fun on the roof of your camper, during your break or when you have already finished work.

The Nissan Office Pod was presented virtually at the 2021 Tokyo Auto Salon. To date, it is still a concept, nothing is known about the production of the camper.
