“Hello fellow camping enthusiasts! My name is Diede Klinkenberg, 28 years old and I have been working for almost three years now Arimpex Media Services. This seems short but it feels like I've been here for ten years! I have been living in beautiful Haarlem for four years now and I grew up in Santpoort - Noord in Velsen.”

I worry myself every day about the development of, among other things CampersCaravans.nl en Campers.nl in my role as a website developer. I do this as part of a close-knit, small but nice IT team. We build everything the user sees and touches on the website. New features, bug fixes, user interfaces. This ranges from adjusting text to building a completely new ad placement process. I think it's fantastic to be able to contribute to the experience of our thousands of users. It can always be faster, better, more beautiful and more robust.”
Experience within the company
“I am a perfectionist and detail-oriented. As an Internet and technologically oriented person, I have years of experience as an Internet user myself. Couple this with a large and ever-increasing knowledge in the field of website development with a touch of design insight and then I can really create something beautiful together with the team. This makes the work super fun and really satisfying.
On a website like CampersCaravans.nl en Campers.nl it is important that the user experiences as little resistance as possible. Resistance occurs, for example, in the form of less good design, bugs or counter-intuitive interfaces. Frustration among the user must be avoided at all times, as this has a direct effect on the all-important conversion. At the same time, we don't always have to reinvent the wheel, because how do the big boys do it? We often use the processes on large, international websites as inspiration, and we try to improve them where possible and tailor them to the characteristic camping audience.”
What are you proud of?
“Given the modest size of our IT team, I think it is amazing what we achieve together. Our group size is also our strength, because we are forced to set the right priorities. We are driven people and that is reflected in our products. Of course there is occasional friction, but without friction there is no shine.
For example, we are currently working to accommodate camper and caravan rental on the websites. The sales department has recently closed some fantastic deals with several big names, and now it's up to us to showcase this rental offering on the websites. At the same time, we are working on a brand new project with a nice name, Campers.nl. This new RV content hub recently went live and once again offers plenty of opportunities and challenges from a developer perspective.”

“Arimpex is a small company with a close-knit team in the heart of Amsterdam, and I can honestly say it is the nicest place I have had the pleasure of working so far. Here, as an employee, people are respected and treated as human beings. This seems obvious, but I was not used to this in my working life until Arimpex. I actually ended up here by chance and have been able to develop in all kinds of areas over the past three years, for which I am very grateful.”
