Camping trends 2020: caravans with single beds

One of the key trends for 2020 is the rise of the single bed caravan layout. These are arranged lengthwise, each bed against a side wall of the caravan with a aisle in between.

Such layouts are by far the most popular in campers and until recently a few caravan manufacturers reluctantly ventured into that theme. But in 2020, every brand has some bed layouts in various models. Single beds may look uncomfortable, but experienced camper owners know that with an intermediate piece you can transform them into a bed of sometimes more than two by two meters - something you don't even find in hotels. The new Eriba Nova even has a model with a bed of 200 by 230 centimeters.

On the other hand, single beds are also practical for older campers: you can easily get in and out of bed and you don't have to climb over your partner for a nighttime sanitary stop. You will discover another advantage of single beds during tropical nights in Tuscany or on the Spanish Costas, where the thermometer still remains well above 35 degrees at night. On the usually narrow double beds you quickly get stuck together on sweaty nights...
