Lada Granta Camper closer to home

Last year, the Lada Granta FL was only available as a camper in Russia. But that is now changing. The company “Made in Russia GmbH” will also sell them in Germany.

Until recently, the cars from Avto VAZ, the Lada factory, could no longer meet European emission requirements. But Lada now has the necessary models in its showroom in Russia that do. There is a Lada Vesta, a cheap family car. There is a jeep-like Lada SUV X-Ray. And now there is the Granta, the basis for the Lada camper.

Maintenance

It doesn't seem to be a problem to find garages for maintenance. The ex-Lada dealers know what to do with it. Under the hood is a Euro 6d-temp 1,6 liter petrol engine with 87 hp. So no traffic light sprinter, but economical with an expected 1 in 8 to 1 in 10.

The Granta is equipped with ABS and power steering. It is nice and compact, less than 5 meters long, 1,74 meters wide and 2,59 meters high. By keeping the interior light, it all seems a bit bigger. You make the bed from the seating area, the alcove and the six existing pillows. The bed size is 2 by 1,7 meters. In Germany the price would be € 29.990, but there they do not have Dutch bpm.
