Nomadic Office: working from home in a Peugeot Boxer

The work from home advice due to the corona pandemic has expired. And since Wednesday (almost) all other measures. Hybrid working is seen as the new normal by many employers. Most employees have a home office installed. Others not quite yet. Atelier JMC has even transformed an old Peugeot Boxer into such a home office: Nomadic Office.

Atelier JMC is a French design studio founded in 2011. One of their latest projects is the Nomadic Office: a mobile workshop. We wrote about using you before camper or caravan as an office, as in the Nissan Office Pod. Now the Nomadic Office has been added.

CAD drawing

The transformation started by scanning the interior of the vehicle with a 3D laser and creating a CAD drawing of the vehicle's body. This is a Computer-Aided Design drawing: a drawing made using computers.

Interior

An extendable system, made of wood, determines the layout of the Nomadic Office. The old Peugeot Boxer consists of a dining area (with kitchenette), a sleeping area and a workspace. The Boxer also has a toilet, which is located behind the driver's seat. The bed and dining table can be folded up when not in use, ideal for saving space!

There is no shortage of storage space in the Peugeot. The bus has several storage compartments and you can hang your clothes on the hanging racks.

Technical

The Nomadic Office has two solar panels on the roof of 330 Watts each. In addition, it has two 80 liter water tanks for clean water and for purifying waste water. With the help of insulation and a diesel heating system, there is an ideal temperature inside the bus.
