More popular than ever
Camping is more popular than ever – more and more young families are discovering the freedom of the outdoors and the benefits it offers for children of all ages. The corona crisis has even given camping a boost in recent months because hotel and air holidays are under pressure. By car – or camper – you can go wherever you want and there is no safer place to adhere to the one-and-a-half-meter society than at the campsite. The camping pitches offer plenty of space and privacy and you also decide whether you want to come into contact with other campers.
This has resulted in the growing popularity of camping: never before have so many caravans, trailer tents, tents and campers been sold. In some months, caravan sales increased by 25 percent compared to the same month last year and sales peaks of 80 percent were even recorded for campers. Dutch campsites in particular were overcrowded last summer, including new campers who, for example, have rented a camper or caravan and are getting acquainted with camping life from a glamping accommodation.
With the autumn campaign 'October Camping Month', the camping industry is launching a national event where new campers can also become acquainted with the possibilities of holidays with a trailer tent, tent, caravan or camper. There will also be demonstrations with caravan movers (with which you can place the caravan on the camping site without pushing and pulling), satellite systems for TV reception throughout Europe, air conditioners for campers and caravans and all kinds of other accessories.
On holiday with the caravan
Always your own 'house' with you: your own bed, your own bathroom with toilet. If you are planning to purchase a caravan, pay attention to the number of sleeping places and the layout of the caravan - there are many options! – and on the equipment: many brands have special promotional models that are offered at an attractive price.
