Inflatable roof tent

An inflatable tent on top of your car. The Dutch company Fjordsen created this concept. An inflatable tent that can be mounted on the roof of the car. This way, every non-fanatic camper can easily camp with the car. A very handy invention if you ask us!

According to Fjordsen, the Rooftop XL tent should fit on almost all cars, so that every type of adventurer can easily use the Rooftop XL. Unfortunately, this tent does not fit on very small cars, but for medium-sized cars, this tent is no problem at all. For larger cars such as SUVs, it is no problem at all, and even electric cars should be able to carry this roof tent, according to Fjordsen.

But most car roofs can often only carry a maximum of 80 kilos, right? According to Fjordsen, a car roof can carry about 200 to 400 kilos. This is because when the car is stationary, it can carry much more. The Rooftop XL Tent therefore fits on any car that can carry at least 60 kilos.

Once inflated, the tent is 220 by 220 cm and 130 cm high. The tent is designed for families going on a camping holiday but wanting to travel a lot. It can accommodate two adults and two children.

The tent has all the amenities of a regular tent that usually settles on the campsite. It has 4 windows, a zippered entrance and is suitable for all weather conditions. You won't have much work with the tent, as it inflates within three minutes. The electric air compressor automatically inflates the tent. Ideal for a family with young children.

The Fjordsen Rooftop XL tent is available from 2,650 euros, including a roll-up ladder and air compressor to inflate the tent.
