Pilote celebrates with X-Edition bus camper

Ten years ago Pilote started building campers. Although that was of course not that long ago, the French camper manufacturer still thinks it is a great opportunity to release a special anniversary model: the X-Edition bus camper.

This X-Edition bus camper, the promotional model that Pilote is introducing on the occasion of this anniversary, is available in three layouts. Two of six meters long and a 6,36 m long version. All three based on the Fiat Ducato.

Many extras

As befits an anniversary model, every Pilote X-Edition bus camper is equipped with many extras. The Fiat gets an upgrade to 140 hp and a 3500 kilo chassis. Furthermore, the Ducato has a 90-liter diesel tank, cruise control, passenger airbag, LED daytime running lights and fog lights.

In addition, special paint and all-season tires on 16" alloy. The Pilote Safety package also applies. This includes lane and emergency braking assistant, traffic sign recognition and high beam assistant. The cabin is finished in a special color, the promotional model has a painted bumper, black frames for the headlights and grille and black underride protection.

Pilote has given the interior of the approximately €75.000 X-Edition a multifunction leather steering wheel and equipped it with chrome and aluminum accents on the dashboard. Even more extras such as an awning, outdoor shower, bicycle rack or a second household battery complete the party.
