Rapido back at Mercedes

The French quality brand Rapido was founded in 1948 from the creative mind of Constant Rousseau, a furniture maker who was devoted to wood and worked with different types every day. In 1961, for his own holiday, he designed and made a folding caravan made of fabric on a chassis, which could serve as a regular trailer for the rest of the year. Meanwhile, the Rapido group has grown rapidly and Mercedes is celebrating a comeback.

Three Generations of Rapido

Pierre ROUSSEAU came to work in his father's company in 1976. He soon started designing campers. The first model saw the light of day in 1983 as Randonneur 410. In 2014, Nicolas Rousseau followed in the footsteps of his father Pierre and became commercial manager. The passion for the product has managed to attract the third generation.

Despite its size, Rapido is still a family business that works in a traditional manner with attention to detail.
