Smart and affordable GPS security for Motorhomes and Caravans

Motorhomes and caravans are loved by their owners, but unfortunately also by thieves. They often represent a high value and are relatively easy to move. After theft, they often disappear quickly across the border. If that happens, recovery becomes much more difficult. In case of theft, speed is therefore paramount: the faster you know where your Motorhome or Caravan is, the greater the chance you will find it.

“That’s exactly where GPS security helps,” says Arie de Vree of Easy2Follow. “If your Motorhome or Caravan starts moving unexpectedly, you can quickly see where it is. This allows you to take immediate action.”

Two options: wireless or wired

Easy2Follow offers two compact trackers for this purpose: the Zipply and the Zipply Plus. They are specially developed to offer a smart, simple, and affordable solution for anyone who wants to take an extra security step. The trackers do not have a monthly subscription and are easy to install. And with the Easy2Follow app, you can see exactly where your Motorhome or Caravan is located.

“In this way, we want to make GPS security easily accessible,” explains Arie. “With two clear solutions, not with a complicated system or all sorts of choices. The Zipply works wirelessly, the Zipply Plus connects to a fixed power supply. This allows you to quickly and easily determine which tracker best suits your wishes and requirements.”

Zipply: wireless and easy to install

The Zipply is the wireless version. The tracker runs on batteries and does not require a connection to the battery. You turn it on, place it, and can then immediately track its location via the Easy2Follow app. The Zipply starts tracking as soon as it detects movement. Once it has moved approximately 250 meters, it reports its new location. If the tracker continues to move, it registers a location every three minutes and sends it to the Easy2Follow platform every thirty minutes. When stationary, you receive a location update every six hours.

Arie: “For Caravans, the Zipply is often a logical choice. Not every Caravan has a fixed power supply, and not every owner wants to modify the electrical installation. The Zipply can also be a good fit for Motorhomes, especially if you are looking for a simple plug-and-play solution. Its wireless operation makes the Zipply accessible. You can of course also use this tracker for other objects where connecting is less practical, such as a trailer, boat, or classic car.”

Zipply Plus: live tracking from the start

The Zipply Plus is the wired version. You connect this tracker to a fixed power supply, for example, to the battery of a Motorhome. “That is the main difference with the Zipply,” says Arie. “The fixed power supply enables live tracking from the start. If your Motorhome or Caravan starts moving, the Zipply Plus provides a location update every three minutes.”

The Zipply Plus also provides notifications for tampering or power loss. This makes this tracker particularly interesting for owners who want even more control and for whom a fixed power supply is readily available.

“For Motorhomes, the Zipply Plus is often the obvious choice,” knows Arie. “A suitable power source is usually available there. You connect the tracker and then get live tracking from the moment something happens. You also receive a notification if someone tampers with the power supply.”

For Caravans, the choice depends more heavily on the technical situation. If the Caravan has a suitable fixed power supply, the Zipply Plus can be a good option. If that power supply is not available, or if you prefer not to connect anything, the wireless Zipply is a better fit.

Everything in the Easy2Follow app

Both trackers work with the Easy2Follow app, which you install on your phone or tablet. The app keeps usage clear: you see exactly where your Motorhome or Caravan is and receive all the information you need to take action.

Easy2Follow developed the app itself and manages the associated platform in the Netherlands. The hosting and helpdesk are also Dutch. That is logical, according to Arie: “With GPS security, you want to be able to rely on the technology and the organization behind it. That’s why we keep development, hosting, and support in-house.”

No subscription, clear costs

Easy2Follow opts for a simple pricing structure for both the Zipply and the Zipply Plus. One year of access costs €172 including VAT. Three years of access costs €219 including VAT. After the chosen period expires, you can renew for €36 including VAT per year.

“Those prices are all-inclusive, so you don’t pay extra for a subscription and there are no hidden costs,” Arie concludes. “You choose the access period that suits you in advance. This way, you know exactly where you stand. With the Zipply and the Zipply Plus, we make GPS security simple and affordably accessible.”
