Holiday in the Netherlands? It's possible!

Holiday in the Netherlands? It's possible!

For many people, their planned holidays are canceled due to the corona crisis. But the good news is that there is plenty to do in our own country for those who still want to get away from it all. We can go to the beach, go into nature and enjoy the different cities we have.

Bookings peak

What is striking is that there has been an unprecedented peak in the number of bookings for a holiday home in the Netherlands. Natuurhuisje.nl now has twice as many reservations as last year and Belvilla 2 percent more. Belvilla, the market leader in the Benelux, expects summer and autumn bookings to peak even further. Many Dutch people who normally go abroad will experience that there are many beautiful places to discover in the Netherlands itself, the company tells the Parool.

The provinces

At the moment, the provinces of Gelderland, Zeeland, Overijssel, North Holland and Limburg are the most popular and busy cities and places are still avoided. If you want to get out into nature, Natuurhuisje.nl has the perfect solution. They rent 'remote' houses and offer a 'contactless stay'. The landlord cleans the house extra and the key is hidden somewhere for the tenant, so that he or she can check in at any time.

There are also a number of things you should take into account:

  • The catering industry can only open partially. Make a reservation or try to cook as much as possible in your holiday home.
  • Campsites still require their own sanitary facilities.
  • Always take the 1,5 meter distance into account.

Keep an eye on our blog for all provinces and the possibilities they offer so you can still enjoy your holiday. And also take a look at the different ones camping areas which we have written about in the past.

Your own camper or caravan is of course also a great option for a beautiful holiday. View our entire range at CampersCaravans.nl.
