Soft. Safe. Always perfectly sealed.

Soft. Safe. Always perfectly sealed.

The sliding door of a van conversion naturally has many advantages. You bring the outside in. And if your kitchen unit is half in front of it, you have a great view while cooking. There are probably more advantages to be found. But there is also a big disadvantage. The sliding door has to be closed with a bang.

If you do it too gently, it won't engage the second lock. For example, if you've been to the toilet at night and want to close it very quietly. If that doesn't work right away, you have to try again. You don't want to do that to your camping neighbors.

There is now an affordable solution.

The AST Soft-Close is an almost silent electric closing system. For almost all common van conversions.

Installation in the workshop takes about four to six hours. This depends on the motorhome's interior around the C-pillar. Four holes need to be drilled. A sensor then detects that the sliding door is being pulled shut. In the final section, the Softclose pulls the door silently into the lock via a pin. Because the door is already almost closed at the moment of closing, you cannot get your fingers caught.
