The S600XL is in 2024 in the Netherlands as best tested. This is the sixth Lacros electric folding bike that has been rated best.

Our top model, Scamper S600XL, exudes power and flexibility. The bicycle has various comfortable features, such as front fork suspension, a sprung seat post, and a smooth mid-drive motor. The frame has a low step-through height and is equipped with sturdy folding hinges and a powerful and efficient 36V Lithium-Ion polymer battery. This allows you to easily achieve a range of 60-90km (the bicycle can be upgraded with a 720Wh battery for a greater range). The bicycle is built to be folded in a few simple steps and easily stored in your car, boat, Motorhome, or Caravan.

The SCAMPER S600XL is equipped with 24-inch wheels. The bicycle is slightly higher, but almost all specifications are comparable to the normal S600 model. This also makes it unique in its class.

A ring lock, sprung saddle post (suitable for persons <1.85m) and a rust-resistant chain are included with this bicycle.

The Lacros Scamper S600XL with mid-motor provides very powerful support when desired in every situation, such as on long distances, against the wind, or on steep slopes. The 250W Bafang motor is powerful enough and very reliable. In combination with the 8 hub gears, the Lacros Scamper S600XL with support offers a very natural cycling experience. The front wheel is equipped with a disc brake and the rear wheel with a roller brake.

The Scamper S600XL comes standard with a suspension seat post and a front fork suspension for more comfort while riding. Due to the 24-inch wheels, the bike is a bit higher compared to the "normal" S600. These larger wheels provide a more stable ride. The bike has a LED light on the front that works on the bike battery and is easy to operate from the control unit on the handlebar.

The Scamper S600XL is equipped with a 540Wh/36V Li-ion Polymer battery that is light, powerful and durable. The 540Wh battery has a standard range of 60-90km (the bike can be upgraded with a 720Wh battery for a greater range). The battery is removable and secured with a lock. A charger is included with the bike.

The LCD display on the handlebars allows you to control the electric assistance. The 5 support levels can be easily operated with two buttons on the control unit. The display is illuminated and easy to operate. With the press of a button, you can read a wealth of information, such as speed, distance, and battery usage. The assistance stops at speeds above 25 km per hour. This is legally determined in the Netherlands. The LED lights can be operated via the control unit.
