Sun Living S75 SL X-TRA Edition: on holiday with five people

Sun Living is Adria's sister brand, aimed at entry-level campers. With a sleek, modern styling and basic equipment. But now there's the Sun Living S75 SL X-TRA Edition, packed with luxurious accessories. Suitable for family holidays: with five seating and sleeping places.

Two versions of the special edition model are available: the S65 SL and the slightly longer S75 SL. Both have single beds at the back that can be linked together. In the S75 SL you have more living space, a separate shower and toilet, plus an extra bed above the seating area. That makes it ideal for large families: with some maneuvering, two adults and three children can go on an adventure. There are also 5 seats with seat belts.

Exterior

Sun Living campers are built in the Adria factory in Novo Mestro (Slovenia), one of the most modern in Europe. This also applies to the Sun Living S75 SL X-TRA, which is based on the Citroën Jumper. The semi-integrated motorhome has a length of over 7.40 meters and is powered by a 2.2 liter diesel with 140 hp, which meets the latest environmental requirements. Walls and roof are made of polyester, providing good protection against hail. The motorhome has a garage for bicycles and camping furniture – the garage has standard doors on both sides and is equipped with 230 and 12 Volt connections for charging e-bikes. You can drive the Sun Living with your B driving license, as you can load it up to 3,500 kilos.

Living, cooking, sleeping

What immediately strikes us when we enter the S75 SL is the large amount of daylight that enters through the panoramic window above the windshield. Together with the light cabinet doors of the overhead lockers and the chosen wood color, this gives a great sense of space. We see a cozy living area with an L-shaped seating arrangement and a table that can be fully extended to the extra bench against the side wall. That bench can be converted into a fifth belted seat. The kitchen has a dark worktop, just like the dining table. A sink and a three-burner gas stove are integrated into the worktop.

The large Thetford fridge/freezer combination (142 liters) is a nice feature – directly next to the entrance, where you can store a lot of food. Further back we come to the separate shower and toilet area which are placed against both side walls. All the way at the back we come to the bedroom, with remarkably long beds: 2.10 meters, with two large wardrobes under both foot ends. The sleeping area can be used as single beds (easy to get in and out), but you can also link them together, giving you plenty of space. Optionally, a child could sleep in between; the two other children would then find a sleeping place above the dinette, in the relatively narrow (125cm) drop-down bed that you can easily lower. Do keep in mind the steps inside, both in the seating area and in the bedroom.

Installations

The S75 SL is equipped with a Truma Combi-4 heater/boiler with ring heating – tip: choose the Combi-4E from the options list, so you can also heat on 230 Volt. The X-TRA Edition comes standard with a lot of accessories on board such as aluminum wheels, cruise control, air conditioning in the cabin, a screen door and, for example, gas filters and an extra airbag for the co-driver. Also part of the X-TRA package are the fire extinguisher, rear parking sensors and an awning. This means the standard equipment is perfectly fine.

Conclusion S75 SL X-TRA

The Sun Living S75 SL X-TRA Edition is a well-built camper with five standard belted seats and enough space to go on the road with the whole family. The equipment is perfectly fine – you might want to have the dealer install a rear-view camera. If you usually travel as a couple, you can also choose the shorter variant, the S65 SL Xtra-Edition, available from € 59,750.
