This holiday park is located at the Bergumermeer, also known as Burgumermar. Accommodations are available for rent, but you can also camp by the water. Discover the eleven cities

Friesland is known for the eleven cities tour. And although the last one was quite a few years ago (in 1997), every winter there is still hope that it will happen this year. Fortunately, the eleven cities are also perfectly suitable for a beautiful tour. Whether by car, camper, bicycle, boat or on foot. Nice routes can be found, for example, on Friesland.nl. Camping tip: Camping Hiddema-State

Leeuwarden is the starting and ending point of the eleven cities tour. A nice place to look for a campsite. The cozy Camping Hiddema-State is located 5 km from the center of Leeuwarden. The farm campsite started in 1991 as a mini campsite and has now grown a bit larger. You will find spacious and clean pitches, a playground and a small farm shop with (local) products. With a tent or camper, you can also camp in the orchard of the farm.

Beautiful nature reserves

For true nature lovers: Friesland has several beautiful nature reserves. Real gems, which are not yet so well known. Enjoy the island feeling of the Diepsterbos, visit an estate in the middle of the Frisian terp landscape or discover the picturesque nature reserve De Mieden. Camping tip: nature campsite Oude Willem

The Drents-Friese Wold is the second largest contiguous forest area in the Netherlands. At nature campsite Oude Willem you can camp in the middle of this area. The site is small, atmospheric and you have plenty of space. Bring your own camper, caravan or tent, or rent an already furnished tipi tent. You might spot deer from your camping pitch! The area is ideal for walking and cycling: more than 90 kilometers of cycling and walking paths.
