This holiday park is located near Bergumermeer, also called Burgumermar. There are accommodations for rent, but you can also camp on the water. Have fun during your holiday with all kinds of water sports. Your children will also have a great time, as there is a professional entertainment team, a swimming pool and a play paradise. There is a youth center for young people and several sports facilities.

Discover the eleven cities

Friesland is known for the Eleven Cities Tour. And although the last one was many years ago (in 1997), every winter there is still the hope that it will continue this year. Fortunately, the eleven cities are also ideal for a beautiful tour. Whether by car, camper, bicycle, boat or on foot. You can find nice routes, for example, at Friesland.nl. Each city offers all kinds of sights and fun outings along the way. And how unique is it if you spend your holiday on a route that is iconic for the Netherlands?

Camping tip: Camping Hiddema-State

Leeuwarden is the start and end point of the Eleven Cities Tour. A nice place to look for a campsite. The cozy Camping Hiddema-State is located 5 km from the center of Leeuwarden. The farm campsite started in 1991 as a mini campsite and has since grown slightly larger. You will find spacious and clean pitches, a playground and a small farm shop with (regional) products. You can also camp in the farm's orchard with a tent or camper.

Beautiful nature areas

For real nature lovers: Friesland has several beautiful nature reserves. Real pearls, which are not yet well known. Enjoy the island feeling of the Diepsterbos, visit an estate in the middle of the Frisian mound landscape or discover the picturesque nature reserve De Mieden. Camping tip: nature camping site Oude Willem

The Drents-Friese Wold is the second largest contiguous forest area in the Netherlands. You can camp in the middle of this area at the Oude Willem nature camping site. The site is small, attractive and you have plenty of space. Bring your own camper, caravan or tent, or rent a tipi tent that has already been furnished for you. You have a chance to spot deer from your camping spot! The area is ideal for walking and cycling: more than 90 kilometers of cycling and walking paths.
