Texel may seem far away, but that's not too bad. A ferry departs every hour from Den Helder and the crossing only takes 20 minutes. Reservations are not required in advance. TESO, the ferry service, charges a meter price for a car with a caravan. So you pay less for a small caravan than for a large caravan. Tip: on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays you get an extra discount on a crossing.

No less than a quarter of the island in the National Park and nature reserves is freely accessible. The Wadden Sea has even been declared the most beautiful nature reserve in the Netherlands!
