Lucerne-Lake Lucerne: high in the Swiss mountains…

The Lucerne-Lake Lucerne region is located in the heart of Switzerland. This is where the Great Enjoyment starts: a romantic picnic during a boat trip on the smooth lake, or just bouncing down the toboggan run between the Alpine giants. And what about the 'barefoot path', high in the mountains?

The great thing about Lake Lucerne is that you can combine breathtaking nature with vibrant city life: shopping, strolling, terraces. Or kiss in love at dusk, on the 205-metre-long wooden chapel bridge: exactly where the river Reuss leaves Lake Lucerne. The lake is also a perfect location for a romantic boat trip, but you can also leave everyday life behind during a sporty bike ride through the beautiful landscape around the city of Lucerne.

Enjoy among the Alpine giants

Looking for more action? Then you go to Engelberg, in search of the treasure hidden high at the Brunni hut. After a successful treasure hunting mission, you can relax at Lake Härzlisee, on one of the cozy terraces with an unparalleled view of the mountain lake. And how about the 'barefoot path', a beautiful walk around the lake. Give your feet a special massage on the specially prepared walking route. Do your children still have energy left? How about the cable car? You then descend to the Ristis intermediate station for a toboggan tour through the Alpine landscape. Up and down, from left to right: the kids can keep that up all day long.

Relax in Lucerne-Lake Lucerne

During your holiday you can relax at one of the many campsites in the region, for example right on the Sarnersee or high in the mountains near Engelberg. Swimming, good food, enjoying the silence... Are you coming to the Lucerne-Lake Lucerne region?

Do, see, taste

You must do it

The ride to the Titlis is a real experience. First with the new gondola lift – Titlis Xpress – to the middle station, then all the way to the top with the Titlis Rotair, the world's first revolving cable car.

Look at that

Lucerne is located on the Reuss River, at the end of Lake Lucerne, surrounded by impressive mountain peaks. The city has been popular with tourists since 1840, for example for its city center and the chapel bridge and water tower.

You have to taste it

Between the centuries-old monastery walls of Kloster Engelberg, milk from the region is processed into goat's and sheep's cheese, Alpine cheese and other dairy specialties such as yoghurt. And during the demonstrations you can see exactly how that happens.
