Top 15 most popular campsites in the Netherlands

Camping in our own country grew significantly last year, according to figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics. Dutch campsites received no less than 20 percent more visitors. Booking site Zoover delved into last year's reservations and compiled a Top 15 of the most popular campsites in the Netherlands.

Number 15: Minicamping Boogaard

A 9.7 for child-friendliness and even a 9.9 for hygiene. And Minicamping Boogaard from Zoutelande (Zeeland) scores even more bizarrely high marks, with a final score of 9.8. The campsite is located near the beach and a nature reserve. For the little ones, there is a separate play area and the baker and fishmonger visit the campsite.

Number 14: Camping Ackersate

Camping Ackersate is located in Voorthuizen (Gelderland), a luxurious Ardoer campsite with clean sanitary facilities, but as a spoiled camper you can also opt for a camping pitch with private sanitary facilities. There are playgrounds everywhere on the fields and there is both an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool - with slides.
