Our Volkswagen T4 was made at a time when sustainability prevailed. 

This 5 cylinder does not have complicated technology but is robust material. No complicated sensors that break, but materials that last a long time. In the 8 years that we have used it, it has not let us down once. 

The strong 2.5 liter turbo diesel is powerful and reliable. He can easily use an Austrian pass instead of the autobahn. 

It starts and runs and along the way the turbo runs like a charm.

We never went out in the winter, it was then suspended under a winter cover, 

Karmann is known for its compactness and solid material. The structure is largely made of polyester, except for the large side panels. So leak-tight as a boat and certainly hail-resistant. All sealant seams have recently been replaced. 

The mileage almost approaches 3 tons, but there are T4s with the same engine that have run 6 tons without any problems and are still on the road. If regular maintenance is carried out, it will certainly last 3 tons, even more than that.

Our camper is appraised every 3 years. The last appraisal value was € 24.000. 

Our camper has always had good periodic maintenance, but sometimes some things need to be renewed.

For example, the hydraulic pressure group was recently replaced. For this it was necessary to disassemble the entire engine and gearbox and various hoses and switching mechanisms were also checked and, where necessary, a number of parts were also replaced preventively. All (engine) fluids, air conditioning and brake fluid have also been changed. A service is also included so that the new owner, just like us, can go on holiday without any worries in the coming years.
