Hippie Caviar Hotel: Renault's Future Vision

Hippie Caviar Hotel: Renault's Future Vision

At the recently held Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, the French Renault presented its vision of the future in luxury camping customization. Hippie Caviar Hotel is a high-tech bus camper full of futuristic solutions, based on the electric variant of the Renault Trafic van.

Hippie Caviar Hotel

5 star hotel experience

In Renault's vision of the future, the Hippie Caviar Hotel is a camping experience that combines a 5-star hotel experience with pure adventure. For this purpose, the bus camper is equipped with a fully furnished roof terrace and a spacious bed for both indoor and outdoor use. A drone for groceries and other deliveries will be included in the standard delivery scope. But the future-proofing doesn't end there. Renault supplies the bus camper with a separate 'logistics container'. This unit houses, among other things, a shower and toilet, but also a charging point to refuel the Trafic. You can have the container delivered to the place where you wish to spend the night.

Can be used daily

In addition to this luxury, which still requires further logistics, the Hippie Caviar Hotel bus camper offers all the freedom and flexibility of a compact, daily use camper. With the e-Trafic you go where the built-in navigation leads you. And thanks to the compact size of the Renault, you don't need an extra spacious parking space. In addition, a bridge must be very low if you don't want to fit under it.

The Relay Camper

With the Hippie Cavia Hotel concept, Renault is harking back to the glory years of the Estafette. The French answer to the Volkswagen T1 camper. The Estafette camper was innovative when it was released in collaboration with Sabem. Quickly very popular with surfers and families with a love for nature and adventure. This 60s camper was equipped with sofas that could also be used as a bed, a kitchenette, a refrigerator and a removable table. With its flat floor, independent wheel suspension, small turning circle, modern cabin and smart sliding door, the Estafette was just as innovative at the time as the Hippie Caviar Hotel with a completely new take on the traditional commercial vehicle. The trendy camper of the past is now once again in the spotlight because the iconic style from the past still appeals to many campers today.
