Camper version on the way of the Volkswagen ID. buzz
Volkswagen has announced a camper variant based on the electric ID. Buzz. In line with VW's other camper models, this ID. called California. Patience is still a virtue because the E-camper will not be launched until 2025. Next year, however, the ID will be in place. Buzz is already in the showroom.
Volkswagen recently released white smoke from the chimney for the development of the ID. California. The demand for new campers has exploded in the last two years, which of course helps to decide that. The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is marketed in two lengths. The ID. California will be based on the long wheelbase version. Because the powertrain of the electric ID. Buzz is nice and compact, the ID. California is a lot more spacious on the inside than the current generation of VW campers with a fuel engine.
Range of 550 kilometers
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz will soon be available in different versions. The size of the battery pack plays a key role in this. The largest has a battery capacity of 111 kWh. This should allow a WLTP range of 550 kilometers. The actual drive is transmitted to the rear wheels by one electric motor with a power of 204 hp, comparable to what is in the Volkswagen ID.3 and ID. 4 has been applied.
