Eura Mobil Activa One 650 HS: a surprising amount of space

Alcove campers are almost exclusively found in the rental market. Unjustified, because campers with that typical bump on the roof have enough advantages to buy one yourself. Eura Mobil proves this with the Activa One 650 HS: a compact camper with a surprising layout.

Alcove campers are popular for their large number of sleeping places. In any case, two sleeping places in the alcove, they often have a double bed in the back and if you convert the dinette, you can also sleep two more people there. The Eura Mobil Activa 650 HS, on the other hand, is a real two-person camper that can also accommodate four people.

Exterior

The exterior of the Eura Mobil has a very clear camper profile with its alcove. The walls are made of polyester and with plastic reinforcements - Eura Mobil was one of the first camper builders to replace the then common wooden frames with plastic and to switch to gluing techniques instead of screwed connections. This provides a 10-year warranty against water ingress. The camper is built on the Fiat Ducato with a broad track light chassis.

The Activa One 650 HS has a 140 hp engine as standard: sufficient for this 6,50 meter long car. But you can also opt for 160 or even 180 hp. The double bottom in which water tanks and installations are built is pleasant. Because the double floor can be heated, the camper is ideal for winter conditions - you can also store skis behind a service hatch in the double floor.

In the round seating area you have a wonderful all-round view.

Compact outsider

The Activa One 650 HS combines two trends in the camper world: single beds and a round seat. To start with the latter: the round seat is clearly on the rise, but mainly in the larger models, such as the Hymer Duomobil, the Dethleffs ALPA or the overgrown Frankia Plus versions. This makes the 6,50 meter long Eura Mobil a compact outlier.

Spacious round seat

Campers with single beds are also a favorite among camper users, but you don't find them very often in the alcove. But in this 650 HS. Because the round seat can be converted into a double bed, you can go on holiday with four people, because the same round seat also has two seats that are equipped with seat belts and headrests.

In the round seating area you have a spacious view all around and we see a 32-inch TV mounted against the bathroom wall. The bathroom has a toilet and a rotating wall also provides sufficient space to shower.

The kitchen

The kitchen is located directly next to the entrance door and has a three-burner gas stove and a sink integrated into the worktop. The wide drawers offer plenty of space for cooking utensils. Opposite the kitchen we find the 140 liter Dometic refrigerator.

The alcove is used for two single beds with spacious dimensions (200 x 80 cm), with their own window on both sides, a storage space for telephones, glasses or book and a reading light. You can close the cabin from the living area with a sliding door, which also creates the stairs to get to the sleeping area.

Installations

The camper is equipped with a Thetford toilet, Dometic refrigerator and a Truma Combi-6 provides heating and hot water. You can optionally choose the 6E version: we prefer this because you can also heat electrically (including hot water) when you are standing at the power pole. The double USBs above the entrance door are clever: a handy place for mobile phones.

The Activa One 650 HS is a compact camper that is easy to maneuver due to its dimensions. It is a real two-person car that allows you to travel with four people. The surprising layout provides a lot of space in the interior and the double floor has many advantages for those who want to use the camper in all seasons.
