Globe-Traveller 2XS: panel van with freedom of movement

Globe-Traveller recently presented a new panel van. The Globe-Traveller 2XS. A perfectly fitting model for a traveling couple who both want to enjoy the compact dimensions that characterize a panel van, but still desire a bit more space in the living area.

Globe Traveller 2XS

The Polish panel van builder Globe-Traveller is known for quite unusual layouts. When designing a new series of panel vans, nothing is set in stone, so something unique always emerges. This is also the case with the new 2XS series in the Globe-Traveller family.

Especially More Space

The Globe-Traveller 2XS, as a sign of the times, has two belted seats. The bench seat, which is used in almost all other panel vans, has been deliberately omitted. Instead, you will find a single seat in that spot. But this can still be used for dining opposite each other or for playing cards. Behind this seat, the latest Dometic refrigerator is provided, which can open from both sides. You'll find even more coolness under the French bed. In addition to the refrigerator, there is also a separate wine cooler. To the left of the bed, the toilet has found a place. The showering facilities turn it into a bathroom. Along the right wall, a relatively large kitchen block has been placed with plenty of storage space for your cooking utensils and crockery.

Peugeot Boxer L3H3

Since Fiat has sold its heart and soul to Amazon, resulting in 5500 fewer Ducatos available per year, Globe Traveller has chosen the Peugeot Boxer L3H3 as the base vehicle. With the L3 length of 6 meters, the van fits in every parking space, but with the H3 height of 2.80 meters, the Globe-Traveller 2XS is taller than you usually see at this length. That extra height is less aesthetically pleasing for the exterior and drag coefficient, but it is nevertheless necessary to provide the van with a double floor and still maintain sufficient headroom. Handleless overhead cabinets along the walls offer space to store all sorts of things. But the most striking thing in the interior is the space. In this camper, it is possible to ask your partner to dance instead of having to sit down when you need to pass by.

Explorer-Line layout

The layout of the 2XS is based on the Explorer XS model from the camper factory. According to Globe-Traveller itself, this is the configuration with the most storage space. The bench has been removed for this purpose, creating much more freedom of movement. The table is also a space-saver. It can be stored in the floor. A kind of cellar where you can also store all your shoes. Under the bench is a drawer for various items present during downtime. Next to the bed, there is also a wireless charger on both sides to cook or charge your phone, depending on the brand and model. Sockets to do this traditionally with a cable are of course also available. The television is also positioned so that it can be seen from both the bed and the cabin seats.

Globe Traveller 2XS

Winterproof For All Seasons

With a double floor, Truma Combi 4, and the best possible insulation, the Globe-Traveller 2XS is equally comfortable in all seasons. The freedom of movement in the camper van means that when the temperature drops below zero or during a gentle rain shower, it is still pleasant to stay inside.

The price for the new Globe-Traveller 2XS in the Netherlands is not yet known, but it will likely be around € 75,000 euros.
