Globe-Traveller 2XS: bus camper with freedom of movement

Globe-Traveller recently presented a new bus camper. The Globe Traveler 2XS. A perfectly suitable model for a traveling couple who both want to enjoy the compact dimensions that characterize a bus camper, but still want a little more space in the living area.

The Polish bus camper builder Globe-Traveller is known for quite special layouts. When designing a new series of bus campers, nothing is set in stone, so that something unique is created every time. This is also the case with the new 2XS series in the Globe-Traveller family.

Especially More Space

As a sign on the wall, the Globe-Traveller 2XS has two belt places. The bench that is used in almost all other bus campers has been deliberately omitted. Instead, you will find a single seat at that location. But this can still be used to dine opposite each other or to play cards. Behind this seat is the last Dometic refrigerator that can be opened on both sides. You will find even more coolness under the French bed. In addition to the refrigerator, there is also a separate wine cooler. The toilet was located to the left of the bed. The shower options turn it into a bathroom. A relatively large kitchen unit has been placed along the right wall with plenty of storage space for your cooking utensils and kitchen utensils.

Peugeot Boxer L3H3

Since Fiat has sold its heart and soul to Amazon, resulting in 5500 fewer Ducatos available per year, Globe Traveler has chosen the Peugeot Boxer L3H3 as its base vehicle. With the L3 length of 6 meters, the bus fits in any parking space, but with the H3 height of 2,80 meters, the Globe-Traveller 2XS is higher than you usually see at this length. This extra height is less attractive for the appearance and CW value, but is nevertheless necessary to be able to provide the bus with a double floor and still have sufficient headroom. Handle-less upper cabinets against the walls provide space to store everything. But the most striking thing about the interior is the space. In this camper it is possible to ask your partner to dance instead of having to sit down when you have to pass by.

Explorer-Line layout

The layout of the 2XS is based on the camper factory's Explorer XS model. According to Globe-Traveller, this is the configuration with the most storage space. The sofa has been removed for this purpose, which provides much more freedom of movement. The table is also a space saver. This can be stored in the floor. A kind of cellar where you can also store all your shoes. Under the bench there is a drawer for deal time miscellaneous items. There is also a wireless charger on both sides of the bed to cook or charge your phone, depending on the make and model. Sockets to do this traditionally with a cable are of course also available. The television is also positioned in such a way that it can be seen from both the bed and the cabin seats.

Winterproof for all seasons

With a double floor, Truma combi 4 and the best insulation imaginable, the Globe-Traveller 2XS is just as comfortable in all seasons. The freedom of movement in the camper van means that it is still pleasant to stay inside when the temperature drops below 0 or during a light rain shower.

The price for the new Globe-Traveller 2XS in the Netherlands is not yet known, but it will probably be around €75.000.
