La Marca Daily Van: Gas-free on Iveco basis

La Marca Mobility from Landsberg am Lech, Germany, has been the builder of, among others, Roller Team, Notin, Wingamm or Mobilvetta for years. Not so long ago, the manufacturer introduced a series of semi-integrated motorhomes under its own name. A logical next step is, of course, a camper van, and that has been found in the La Marca Daily Van.

the brand

Unlike the La Marca semi-integrated motorhomes, the new camper van is not based on the Fiat Ducato but on the Iveco Daily. A choice that is less common in the camper world. Rear-wheel drive and a sturdy but heavy ladder chassis are to blame for this. However, this does offer advantages for robustness. The fact that Iveco's can now be nicely equipped with driving assistance systems, an 8-speed automatic transmission or four-wheel drive also makes this commercial vehicle an interesting choice as a basis for a camper van.

Standard complete

The equipment of the La Marca Daily Van is therefore very extensive. In addition to 158hp under the hood, there is a standard crosswind assistant, tire pressure is monitored and two airbags are present so that you don't have something difficult to explain after an accident. Even a reversing camera is standard at your disposal.

Striking layout

Over a length of six meters, La Marca has created a striking layout. In the back you will find a seating area cum sleeping group. As is often the case, you can sit or sleep here. An extra, however, is the bed at eye level. In the sleeping position, four people can find a place here. During the day, the bottom bed can be converted into a seat, whereby you can slide the top bed forward, halfway in. This means that the seat for an adult can actually only be reached via the rear doors. But that's not really a problem either, because it's intended for a family with children. They have a nice playground there without getting in the way of mom and dad.

Fully electric

The bathroom is complete with a shower and toilet but compact. If that bothers you, the outdoor shower gives you plenty of space. The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob. Because you will search in vain for gas in this camper van. The entire household runs on a 150Ah lithium battery. A solar panel on the roof ensures that it can supply enough power for much longer. The Daily Van also has a parking heater and a 10l boiler. An awning is standard, as are the mosquito nets and blackout for all windows. The finish has a choice of Scandinavian Oak, Grey Oak or Cherry Wood.

the brand

The empty weight of the Iveco Daily Van is 3 tons, which means you can carry 500kg with a B driving license. However, it is originally a sturdy workhorse, so upgrading to 4200kg is possible if you have a C(1) driving license. The price is € 64,990,- ex BPM
